About

One dealer, start to finish.

CrownReference is run by Ahmed in Dubai. Since 2021 he has been buying, checking and selling Rolex sport watches: Submariners, GMT-Masters and Datejusts, with the odd Tudor and Omega along the way.

Every watch passes through his own hands before it is listed. Papers are checked against the case, the movement is timed on the timegrapher, and the watch is photographed in full. Viewings are by appointment, and you deal with the same person from first message to handover.

FAQ

Buying from CrownReference

Anything not covered here, ask on WhatsApp.

How does buying work?

Message us on WhatsApp about the watch. We send any extra photos or a video you'd like, then arrange a viewing in Dubai or insured shipping. Once payment has cleared, the watch is handed over with everything listed for it.

Can I see the watch before I buy?

Yes. Viewings are in Dubai by appointment. If you're abroad, we can do a live video call and send close-ups of anything you want to check.

How can I pay?

Cash at the viewing, or bank transfer. The watch is handed over or shipped once the funds have cleared.

Is the watch guaranteed authentic?

Yes. Every watch is checked before it is listed, and if one is ever proven not to be genuine, you get a full refund.

Is VAT added to the price?

No. We sell as a private seller, so the price you see is the price you pay.

Do you ship outside the UAE?

Yes, fully insured and tracked. Shipping cost and any import duties depend on the destination, and we'll confirm them before you pay.

What do the condition grades mean?

Unworn: never worn, protective stickers on. Near new: worn very little, no visible wear. Excellent: light signs of wear only. Very good: normal wear, nothing that affects the look up close. Good: visible wear consistent with age. Vintage: an older watch whose patina is part of its character.

Will you buy my watch or take it in part-exchange?

Yes. Send the reference, year and a few photos through the sell or trade form and we'll come back with a cash or part-exchange offer.

Can you find a watch you don't have in stock?

Yes. Tell us the model through the sourcing form and we'll come back with options, each with photos and a timegrapher reading, with no obligation to buy.
